Dear Parents,
Each of us needs to lead a meaningful life. Living an expansive and fulfilling life is not just
desirable but imperative. We are not solitary; our true strength lies in our social connections.
When we fully understand and engage with these connections, we become influential individuals
who contribute to our communities.
The core of the tenth-grade EQUBE session focuses on learning and discovering the intrinsic value
of our actions. This year is your opportunity to undertake a Social Action Project (SAP), which is
not just an assignment but a powerful platform for you to apply the principles of EQUBE in line with
your vision and values. This project is your chance to recognize that you have the capability to
effect change, whether in a community, a specific cause, or an individual's life.
The global upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has made it clear that we must awaken
our senses, heighten our environmental consciousness, and strengthen our humane qualities. It is
time to support one another in our quest to live healthily and sustainably. The call to action is
now—let's respond with determination and intention.
The CBSE council and the ICSE have provided specific guidelines to enhance empathy and social
consciousness through activities that align with the Social Action Project (SAP). Our students from
other schools have been engaged in this for over fifteen years. We believe that SAP can
encompass the following:
Social Action Project: Community action and awareness initiatives with action
School Action Project
In all of these projects, self-awareness and personal development play vital roles.
It is crucial for the students to start by identifying a specific problem or opportunity within their
community and the broader society. Take time to reflect on the issues that either frustrate them —
such as inadequate public transportation, lack of educational resources, or environmental
concerns—or those that resonate with them personally, like food insecurity or social injustice.
Consider what profoundly motivates them to effect change.
Once they have pinpointed these challenges, immerse in exploring potential solutions. This may
involve researching best practices, engaging with community members, or brainstorming creative
approaches to address the issue. Evaluate the potential impact of your proposed solutions,
considering factors such as feasibility, community involvement, and long-term sustainability to
ensure that your efforts lead to meaningful and lasting change.
We have categorised these projects into broad areas, allowing students to choose their desired
area of contribution and influence.
Health
Animal welfare, wildlife
Environmental protection
Special needs
Alternative therapies to better mental health and fitness (yoga, dance, music, art,
photography)
Fundraising and support for a purpose – developing visibility
Giving voice to the voiceless – promotional campaigns

Over the past 16 years, EFIL has implemented more than 750 diverse projects annually, fostering
innovation and entrepreneurship among students. Some projects have been honored with the
prestigious Ashoka Young Entrepreneur Award and have had the opportunity to present their ideas as TEDx speakers and represent their peers at prominent global youth forums and the National HRD
Network (NHRD), amplifying their voices and experiences on national and international platforms.
The social action project (SAP) is crucial in enhancing students' academic portfolios. This experience is particularly valuable when they craft their statement of purpose (SOP) for higher education applications, as it showcases their practical skills and leadership potential.
Each project undergoes a thorough evaluation process, where the most outstanding project in each
class is awarded the School SAP Award. The runner-up also receives recognition for their impressive
work. Winners from all participating schools who excel in their projects will then have the opportunity to compete in the esteemed SAP Champions Award, which highlights and celebrates exemplary achievement in student-led initiatives. This recognition boosts their confidence and opens doors for further opportunities in their academic and professional journeys.
The necessary activities/ the process involved in SAP execution -
Each student will explore and identify different areas or issues they want to address or work on. They will decide on a particular area, go into the details of the problem and understand the various aspects.
First, they will upload the basic idea and how they will work through www.eqube.in before the deadline which is as follows:
Deadlines for Idea Submission -
The Samhitha Academy - 20th March 2025
MLS - CBSE - 14th March 2025
MLS - ICSE - 7th March 2025
DKS - 14th March 2025
TSF - 6th March 2025
The ideas will be reviewed by the EQUBE team, and approved / not approved will be
communicated through the mail
From April to June 2025, they will do the actual work on the project, take photographs and
videos, and procure certificates or feedback from the organization or people they worked
with (if applicable)
They will also work-in-progress status periodically in the URL we will give in the class
They will write a Project report in the template that will be provided to them
Each student has to spend a minimum of 80 hours and a maximum of whatever you need
to complete the project.
The commendable efforts in SAP will require the student to take the following actions-
Be authentic and sincere in their ideas, solutions, and efforts.
Stay original; avoid copying and pasting from AI or any other source.
Start in March and aim to complete 95% of the project work by the end of May.
Submit their idea on time and promptly follow up with email responses.
Conduct thorough research to understand the problem before working on it.
Periodically review and track their work, updating any changes as necessary.
Document all their efforts through photos and videos, and gather testimonials whenever
possible to provide evidence of their work.
Conduct impact surveys and focus on the sustainability of their solutions.
Final Remarks
The essence of EQUBE transcends mere performance and evaluation; it focuses on the invaluable
learning experiences that will empower children as they embark on life after tenth grade. SAP aims to gauge whether children are evolving into self-sufficient individuals equipped with the clarity needed to navigate life’s journey. We invite parents to embrace this purpose and engage wholeheartedly in nurturing their children to become extraordinary human beings.
This is a call for a transformative perspective:
From Comparison to Conviction
From Scarcity to Abundance
From Monitoring to Trust
From being parents to also being friends, fostering a dynamic of co-evolution.
